Our aviation team has delivered systems to more than 35 airports in Norway, in addition to several international airports. Deliveries include control systems for runway lightening, integrated control, monitoring and information broadcast systems (ACAMS, ATIS), as well as other uniquely developed software for the airport's control tower and electrical control centers.
Control Systems for runway lightening
Artech provides complete systems for controlling runway lights via regulating equipment used in airports. This also includes equipment for single lamp control. In addition, Artech has developed a system for wireless control of sequenced flashing approach lights that are operative at several airports.
The systems are fully programmed and tested before delivery to the customer. Artech installs, connects and verifies all functionality at the airports before the systems are put into operation.
We have extensive experience integrating with various systems such as Ulveco, ADB, Honeywell, Thorn and Idman. Our control systems can also be integrated towards Honeywell and Safe Gate’s single lamp control systems.
Our control system for runway lightening can be integrated to the ground radar (A-SMGCS)-systems for CATII and CATIII airports.
ACAMS
ACAMS consists of several modules and can, in addition to the module for the management of runway lights(AFL), be delivered with the following modules:

- NAV-monitoring
- Ceiling lamp control
- Curtain control management
- Direction Finder
- GPS Clock
- Camera module / ITV
- Notice Board
- ATIS (automatic terminal information service)

ATIS
Artech has more than 10 years of experience with the development of ATIS. Artech ATIS can be operated manually and / or automatically and receives weather data in METAR- or MET REPORT-format via the AFTN network. The system is in operation at 16 airports in Norway, and the number is growing. ATIS can be provided as a separate installation or as an integrated module in ACAMS.
